My name is Kenny but everyone calls me “KJ”. I’m from Pittsburgh PA. I first got involved in the dog world at an early age of 12 years old (over 15+ years to date) when i started in AKC conformation shows. I started as a Jr Handler mainly showing my friend’s German Shepherd dog. Then shortly after I got my first dog which was a lab/shepherd mix and with him, I then learned and competed in AKC rally & obedience winning many trials. At the age of 16, I was not only one of the first handlers to qualify for the Jr national with a mix breed but one of the first African Americans to do it at that age of 16 years old. In between all this, I started to learn about the dog sport of Schutzhund (protection dog). Which is a 3 phase dog sport that deals with tracking, advanced off-leash obedience, and protection/ bite work. Mixing with this type of training I learned about police training, SAR ( search and rescue), and detection training. I also spent multiple years training and working at a Doberman kennel and later on had my own training and working german shepherd kennel. I even had some of the dogs compete in the ring at different dog sports venues. I have been to over 20+ dog training seminars with some of the best in the world just to name a few names: Wallace Payne, Denise Fenzie, Greg doud, Mario Verslype and many more trainers national and international.
I would say I specialize with Puppies, working/ high drive dogs, advanced obedience, clicker, and balance training or anything else people request I would be happy to explore.
