Meet The Staff
Andrew Zbeeb · Frogs To Dogs was started as a result of my true love for all animals. My compassion for our furry friends began as a child when I could regularly be found sleeping on the floor with the family dogs. Over the years, I have raised and worked with a wide variety of dogs, cats, birds, exotics - basically any and all creatures. Behavioral training, rescue work and animal studies have been my life's passion. I am happy to further my commitment to animals by serving on Lifeline Animal Projects' Board of Directors.
Trainers
Zsolt · While attending the University of Horticulture in my home town of Budapest, Hungary, I studied plant cultivation and animal behavior. As a result of my studies, I became heavily involved with animal rescue work and behavioral training. When I came to the U.S. over 20 years ago I continued my work with animals and I completed my animal behavior certification, which incorporated many different training techniques. My preferred training specialty is in non-confrontational methods and I have experienced great success for many years with that methodology. I am committed to loving all animals and educating all humans through positive reinforcement and gentle handling.
Vicki · I'm originally from the DC/Northern Virginia area, but I moved to Atlanta in 1984. My primary focus is to rehabilitate and train shelter, foster and homeless dogs. I promote the enrichment of positive dog-owner relationships. I've been a volunteer for two years with Small Dog Rescue, a no-kill Atlanta adoption/rescue group with, among other things, a high success rate placing puppy mill dogs in forever homes. I'm a foster mom and owner of adopted dogs. My apprenticeship as a dog trainer began after my retirement in late 2008 from a corporate career as a business research librarian. I enjoy the continuous and passionate learning experience in all things "dog", including clicker, Tellington Touch, positive reinforcement, aggression treatment, shelter dog enrichment, and nutrition.
Gina · Hello! I’m Gina. I have a Masters Degree in Psychology with a concentration in animal behavior. My thesis project focused on the effectiveness of environmental enrichment with the animals in our care. I have been training marine mammals for over 10 years and specializing in husbandry behaviors through positive reinforcement. I am interested in using my experiences to teach the importance of investing time and energy into training dogs a solid repertoire of husbandry behaviors. Most importantly, I want to work with dog owners on the training techniques to facilitate grooming and veterinary procedures in a positive and safe manner. I am also very excited to educate clients on methods of enhancing their dog’s lives every day with different enrichment options.
Tom · I have always had dogs around when growing up on a small tree farm in Michigan. Through this I was also exposed to wide variety of wildlife and farm animals. My love of animals developed and grew during these younger years. Since then I have always kept myself surrounded by animals, everything from the smallest gerbils to dogs, and snakes to birds. I moved to Atlanta from my home state of Michigan in 2008 and have been working professionally with animals since then. One of my favorite aspects of working with animals is giving rescues the second chance that they truly deserve and helping their rescuers provide for all their social, mental and physical needs.
Allison · I have always had an amazing amount of patience with my dogs, more so than with anything else in my life. To me, each dog is a puzzle. Many have similar behaviors or needs but each should be looked as individuals to best set them up for success in training. I focus on positive training and behavior modification techniques, concentrating on the communication and relationship between dog and owner. I am committed to having the dogs that come through our program to be both as well trained and behaviorally healthy as we can help their humans make them.
I relocated to Atlanta in 2008 and have been working professionally with animals since.
I am a graduate of both Indiana University of P.A. (B.S. in Comm. Media / Journalism) and Georgia State University (B.S. Biology / Psychology). Whenever possible I spend time volunteering for local shelters and have volunteered at veterinary clinics. I am also an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator.
I currently have two dogs, my senior Border Collie, Tashi, and Australian Cattle Dog, Lulu. In our spare time, Lulu and I have begun training in agility which has proven a massive undertaking but one we both couldn’t enjoy more!
Sitters
Hi, I'm Wendy. As the former owner of Oakhurst Animal Companions Pet Sitting, I am excited to now be working with Frogs to Dogs. Besides having had my own pet sitting business for five years, I have also done rescue work, and I have been a foster Mom to quite a few doggies and kitties. I also worked as a veterinary assistant for three years when I lived in Kennesaw, GA. My dogs and I happily live in the beautiful neighborhood of Oakhurst. Working with animals is my passion in life and I can't wait to meet you and your companion animals!
Tad · Hi, I'm Tad. I am a Dekalb County Firefighter and a HUGE dog lover! As a pet sitter for Frogs to Dogs, I get to work with animals on my days off from the station. The irregular hours I work at the firehouse don't allow me the time to devote to a pet of my own, so I consider my "work" with Frogs to Dogs to be all "play." I would love to have the opportunity to spoil your pets!
Dinah · I guess you could say I am a country girl living in the city. Growing up in coastal NC my favorite playgrounds were the beach and my grandfather's farm. An instinctive connection to animals came quite naturally to me. I have 10 years of pet-sitting experience, with a background in animal nutrition, wholistic wellness, and behavior guidance. I love helping people form a stronger bond with their pets through a deeper understanding of their needs. I look forward to meeting you and your special family of pets.
Amanda · I have lived with animals all my life and love caring for them. I have done a lot of rescue work in the past, which is how I came to have my current menagerie. I have worked with kittens and puppies to elderly cats and dogs with special needs. Our own cat is a diabetic, requiring insulin shots twice a day. I also have two dogs with joint and hip problems that require special pills every day. I look forward to working with you and your animal(s) and meeting their needs.
Beth · Hi my name is Beth. I am the proud owner of three beautiful Pit Bulls and have resided in the East Atlanta area for over three years. I am a full time vet tech and have been for four years. I have been pet sitting in the Atlanta area for at least that long. I am also going to school to earn an associates degree in veterinary technology. Every day of my life is spent relating in some way to dogs, cats and various other animals. I treat every pet sitting dog and cat like they are part of my own family. I am proud to be a part of the Frogs to Dogs care team and look forward to caring for your pets in the future.
Amie · Hello! My name is Amie and I'm a life long animal lover. Throughout my life I have had dogs, cats, birds, fish and of course the childhood hamster. I currently have three dogs and a diabetic cat. With my love of animals, I would have many more if my home were only bigger :) Two of my "babies" are rescues. Lots of work but so worth it!! One of my rescues Simon, (the one in the pic with me) has the best sense of humor of any animal I have ever had. My oldest, Pete, is 12-years-old and going blind, but still gets around just fine. My youngest, Grape, is 2-years-old and goes 80 miles a minute ;) They all have very different personalities and all are in different stages of their lives.
To satisfy my love of these wonderful creatures I decided to go into the pet care industry. I have managed a doggy daycare, but have found that "at home" care is much more personal and there's nothing more rewarding than seeing your pet comfortable and relaxed in their own setting. I look forward to meeting you and your family.
Shannon · Hi there! I'm actually Frogs to Dogs' publicist, but I double as a pet sitter, too. I run a boutique agency called Cover Media that promotes arts organizations, non-profits and small, locally owned businesses. But you probably want to know about the critters:) I started doing overnight sitting about five years ago to help out a pet sitter friend of mine. Like all the sitters at Frogs to Dogs, I adore animals and have since I was a child. When I was younger, I often dreamed of living in a cool camper in the middle of nowhere with my menagerie. I've nursed the ill and elderly (ages 17+) canines and felines, helped potty train the wee ones and even hand fed a too-cute tiny turtle. I think Frogs to Dogs does great work and I'm delighted to be one of their sitters!
Andrea · I am Andrea, the proud sister of Andrew Zbeeb, owner of Frogs to Dogs. My whole life I have learned a lot about animals from simply observing Andrew’s great talent with them. Still, I strongly believe that passion and love for animals runs in our DNA. I enjoy pet sitting because I thoroughly enjoy all animals. And while my career in the home fashion industry keeps me busy, most my spare time is dedicated to pet sitting for Frogs to Dogs. I look forward to meeting your fur babies and caring for them when you are not able to be there.
Amy · I am a documentary filmmaker with a house full of rescue animals including 2 dogs, 2 ferrets and a karma kitty. I have had pets my whole life and have always felt a great connection to all kinds of animals. I worked in Hollywood for many years on feature films and that was an amazing experience. My true passion is to make movies that matter and I am currently producing a documentary "Jail Dogs In 1C" to help save more dogs from death row and help spread the word about the No Kill Revolution! Check out my website www.karmalizedpictures.com
Sarah · I am a fine and freelance artist. And, a painting instructor at Callanwolde Fine Arts Center for the last 19 years. Ten years, or so, ago I began petsitting for friends and friends of friends. My three girls (cats) Amanda, Camille and Zuzu were my children for fourteen years before passing away in 2007. I now live vicariously through all my clients' sweet, sweet animals. I began working for Frogs to Dogs in November 2010 and love being with such like-minded animal lovers.
Madison · Hi. I'm Madison. I grew up barefoot in the GA mountains and used to believe I was a fish. Contrary to the old adage, I just love working with animals AND children. When I'm not cuddling pets in the absence of their parents, I keep busy as a cuddly, crafty adventure nanny. Home life is important to me, so I like helping take care of all that it entails whenever I can. My own pet life is pretty low-key with only one beta fish named Isma, because he reminds me of the villain from Emperor's New Groove.
Kelli · Hi, my name is Kelli and I’m an Atlanta, Georgia native. I have grown up around animals my entire life and truly believe they make the world a better place! When I am not designing rooms, I enjoy spending time with my 2 PUGS and pet sitting from Frogs to Dogs. We love our clients and their pets!
Sue · From industrial England, as a child I was still able to spend all my spare time riding horses and my dog was always at my side. I moved to Canada to fulfill a dream of wilderness living but had to make do with paradise while living in and on the beautiful islands of Puget Sound. Informally studying organic agriculture and farming, basic homesteading and survival skills, a houseful of critters was pretty much the norm. I owned and worked a small organic farm in Oregon, keeping goats and chickens and of course the dogs and the cats that found me. After moving to Georgia I became active in rescuing and placing homeless pets which has progressed to where it pretty much takes the bulk of my spare time. I left the corporate world about 8 years ago, knowing my destiny was to work with animals and so I began petsitting. Not long after, I met Andrew and immediately knew I wanted to work with him. I’d known Zsolt (Frogs To Dogs lead trainer) for 20 years from when he owned a little pet store in my neighborhood and I was buying my fish supplies from him. In these last couple of years, what I’ve explored inside myself is a passion for animal welfare which has swept me off my feet. It’s just the greatest joy to make an animal happy. Whether it’s a client’s pets who are simply missing their parents for a few days or on the other extreme, staying on the front line of animal welfare in Georgia. I love every animal I come into contact with!
Nan · I am Nan Richardson. I am from Carrollton , Ga and moved to Kirkwood
in 2004. I love being outside and walking along beside furry friends. Taking care of clients loved ones while away is something I pride myself on. Most of my career I have been an consultant in car business. I have recently moved my career to real estate which gives me even more flexibility with pet setting and and pet walking. I work with Keller Knapp in Decatur. My hobbies include climbing stone mountain, sailing, music, and most of all spending time
with family and friends. My little one is a border collie . His name is Charley.
Coleen · Hi. I'm Coleen. I live in the Highlands Neighborhood of Atlanta. I am the proud owner of two Amazing Dogs and one handsome kitty. I am a certified trainer and have been Involved with the Pet industry for almost ten years. I look after all pets. Feathers, Fur, flippers or gills. I have experience with all pets. My love for animals shows through in my dedication and work ethic. I believe all pets should have a happy home, exercise and plenty affection. I love my job and am proud of what I do.
Craig & Carmen · Hi, I'm Craig! My wife Carmen (not pictured) and I are pet sitters and Carmen also doubles as a groomer. Having a huge four legged family of our own, we have tons of experience. We are a husband and wife team. We are both originally from the west coast, but have been living in the Atlanta area for 15 years. Pictured here with Craig are just a few of our kiddos - we have a 4lb poodle all the way up to a Saint Bernard (all rescues). We also have lots of kitties (they wouldn't stay still for the picture, much like Carmen, camera shy!) We treat each and every animal in our care like they are a member of our family and we are available for overnights, midday walks and vacations.
